We use Aluminium Oxide crystals for our Miracle Micro-dermabrasion machine. Aluminium oxide is probably the most commonly used abrasive medium in micro-dermabrasion. This is because the crystals are inert, in so far as to say they will not react with the body, they are not absorbed in any way and even if they were they are completely harmless and would pass through the body with no ill effects. The have anti bacterial properties and because of the hardness of the crystal they are perfect for use in micro-dermabrasion.
